What is Shield3 Athletics?

Shield3 is a three-layer protection system built for the spaces young athletes share. Layer 1 protects surfaces, Layer 2 treats the air inside enclosed storage, and Layer 3 (gear) is in active development. The goal is simple: keep protection working in the hours between cleanings.

How does it work?

The Layer 1 surface treatment bonds onto high-touch surfaces and forms a persistent protective barrier that stays active between routine cleanings. The Layer 2 sachets are slow-release and treat the air inside enclosed storage — gear bags, lockers, and equipment rooms. We describe our chemistry by how it works rather than by trade or chemical names.

Does Shield3 replace cleaning?

No. Shield3 complements — does not replace — routine cleaning. You keep cleaning exactly as you do now; the bonded barrier works in the gap between those cleanings.

Does the air layer treat the air we breathe in the room?

No. Layer 2 treats the air inside enclosed storage — lockers, gear bags, and equipment rooms — not the open air of a room.

What's the proof behind it?

Independent laboratory testing confirms the efficacy of the surface chemistry, and we measure results in the field using ATP testing, which reports surface bioburden in relative light units (RLU) — a fast, standard measure of how clean a surface is. We keep laboratory and field evidence separate and publish only what we can source. You can see the details on our Proof page.

Do you make germ-kill claims?

We report ATP results as surface bioburden — a measure of cleanliness — not as pathogen-specific kill claims, and we don't describe treated surfaces as "sterile." Laboratory efficacy data and field measurements are always reported separately and on their own terms.

Is Shield3 EPA registered?

We are pursuing EPA N-List registration; our products are not represented as EPA registered. We will update the site as that status advances.

Is it safe to use around athletes?

Products are used according to their label directions, and a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) is available on request. If you have specific questions for your facility, reach out and we'll walk through them with you.

What does it cost, and how do I order?

Right now every order — a single product, a team bundle, or a full facility treatment — is handled as a custom quote while online checkout is being set up. Request a quote or email or call, and we'll take care of it.

Do you ship, and where do you operate?

Facility treatments are rolling out across Ohio, our launch market, and products ship nationwide.

When will the gear / laundry product be available?
